Fair Awards: |

The Contra Costa
Science & Engineering Fair will honor all students for their
participation in the Fair in a number of ways. Modest monetary awards
may be granted to Grand Award winners by the Science & Engineering
Fair itself. In addition, student participants will receive ribbons
and certificates depending upon their placement at the Fair. Prizes
are not guaranteed. Awards may be granted based upon the merits
of the individual/team projects.

Special Awards:
Individual companies and organizations in
the region will honor students for their Science Fair projects.
These awards may be given for specific project categories or in
general for project excellence. Each granting organization will
specify the parameters of the special award.

California Chapter of American Vacuum Society - For best projects
in both Senior and Junior Divisions, which exhibit use of vacuum.
First place $100, Second place $50, Third place $25, plus an
equal amount for each place, to the winner's school in the name
of the teacher. |

Mirant
Corporation--For Excellence in Category for Recycling, Engineering,
Conservation, Alternative Fuels and Electricity. |
